I desperately need help with this 80's song i heard on the radio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.?

The main singer is a guy with a pretty deep voice and sounds somewhat like the main singer from The Smith's or Spandeu Ballet. The song is fast paced and new wave-like. I'm pretty sure there is a female voice in there and some of the lyrics is "i wonder why" and "love". The main chorus line that he keeps repeating sounds something like "rise about today" or "eyes around my baby" or "rise and shine my lady"
