Any exercises that would help my waistline without putting too much strain on my abdominal muscles?

i know that's insane but i had my second baby and need some serious work around my waist (some extra skin - fat around my waist, etc) but i also have an umbilical hernia so i can't strain that too much. is there anything i can do? i'm getting it repaired but not for about another year. i don't want to just sit there and do nothing in the meantime but the stuff i've tried really irritates the hernia.
