Can I join the Army if I have a pregnant girlfriend?

The Army requirements for enlistment include a rule that states one cannot be single and have dependents? Does the baby my girlfriend is carrying count when it comes to determining that I have a dependent or does it have to be born? To me it seems the same whether she is carrying it or not, but for the Army, I am not sure.
